Eligibility Criteria For SBI PO Exam
Nationality – candidate must be Indian. He has good command English, Hindi & other local Languages.
Educational – Candidate need to have done graduation from some recognized university or from some equivalent university
Age Limit – who is between 20 and 30, can be part of this examination. There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates
Online Examinations Pattern
a. Preliminary Examination
In this 1-hours of test which consists of a total of 100 questions, the candidate has to answer the questions. Each question has 1 mark there is a penalty of ¼ marks for each wrong answer. Questions from the English Language (30 Questions), Quantitative Aptitude (35 Questions) and Reasoning Ability (35 Questions) are asked.
b. Main Examination
In these 140 minutes of the test which consists of a total of 200 questions, the candidate has to answer the questions. Each question has 1 mark there is a penalty of ¼ marks for each wrong answer. Question from Reasoning (50 Questions), English Language (40 Questions), Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions), General Awareness (with special reference to Banking) (40 Questions) and Computer Knowledge (20 Questions) are asked.
Selection Process
The candidates who are appearing in the CWE have to score minimum qualifying marks to get a scorecard as after the written examination IBPS issue a merit scorecard. IBPS itself will arrange a common interview for them at different locations and will prepare a final merit list which will be used to recruit them directly to the banking positions reported during the validity of their scorecard. IBPS forms a rank list once the exam and interview phases end. The same will be used to fill existing and upcoming vacancies in the participating banks for a period of one year from the date of announcement of the final results.
